Innovation Management and Incentives Design

Scroll Down for a Preview of this Program

Antonio Dávila
Professor
IESE Business School

Program Highlights:

  • What drives innovation.

  • How to set goals and measure results.

  • The kinds of innovation and why they don't fit together.

Innovation and creativity require an atmosphere that balances the excitement of discovery with the discipline inherent in the organization's structure. Hence any systems to foster innovation must be designed very carefully. In particular such systems must set appropriate goals and these must be accompanied by incentive programs that make sense in the circumstances. The scene must be set by first by coming to a specific understanding of the nature of your innovation requirements, and then designing strategies that will encourage, rather than stifle, the innovation process.

Professor Davila has a Master of Business Administration from the University of Navarra, and a Doctorate of Business Administration from the Harvard Business School. His research has been published in numerous academic and business journals, including the Harvard Business Review and the Journal of Accounting and Economics.
